Beef Stew

This recipe was given to me by Amy and for some reason the basil just makes it. It's so good and very easy.


2 lbs. stew meat
8 celery ribs cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
8 carrots, cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
5 potatoes, cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
2 onions chopped
1 c. water
1 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes
1 tsp. beef bullion
1/3 c. quick cooking tapioca
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. garlic powder

Combine all ingredients in a dutch oven and bake at 325 for 2 1/2-3 hours.
